Be ready to come to life anytime, anywhere hassle free with this easy recipe, and you’ll be staying energized and euphoric all day. Oh, and if you’ve got any of those super versatile amber shot bottles around, this makes a perfect #DIYReusable!

INGREDIENTS/SUPPLIES:

  • Loose Leaf Guayaki Yerba Maté (Approx. 1/2 cup or more depending on jar size)

  • Glass Jar of Choice (Base size on quantity preference)

  • 100 proof vodka

  • Funnel

  • Fine Mesh Strainer or Cheesecloth

  • Guayaki 2oz Shot Bottles

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Fill your jar 2/3 of the way with your loose leaf yerba mate, then pour your 100 proof vodka to the very top. Make sure to give it a stir and add more vodka to make sure all loose leaf is evenly submerged. Allow at least one inch of space between the lid.

  2. Store in a cool, dark place and shake daily. Let infuse for 4-6 weeks.

  3. Using your fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth strain your tincture into another clean jar or pouring container. If using cheesecloth, do not squeeze the remainder out, let sit on counter and fully drip out. Compost the leftover maté.

  4. Use a funnel to then transport the filtered product into your 2oz Guayaki shot bottles.

  5. Decorate + label each bottle, and screw on a dropper lid if desired.

Directions for tincture use: Take 1 dropper full under your tongue or in a glass of water/tea 3x daily to indulge in the benefits of yerba maté. Two droppers full = one 8oz cup of maté.
